Playing Football and making Spiders

We love playing football. Simon gives us lots of ideas about using the ball carefully.
We play interesting games and challenge ourselves and one another.
Creeping, crawly spiders in Room 10 this week.
We make a cone, then put eight long legs to the body.

We cut our spiders hair by fringing brown paper.
Lastly we add beady eyes and our spider is ready to hide in dark places.

Our Potato and Carrot People

We made Potato and Carrot people.

We had to read the instructions carefully.

We used tooth-picks to stick them together.

The hair is made from wool and clothes from paper.

We thought they looked great.

Mikayla likes making Potato people because she likes carrots and potatoes.

It was Charlotte's idea to make them. She saw them in a book she likes to read. Well done Charlotte.

Dressed in our P.Js at school.

We came to school dressed in our Pyjamas on the last day of the term.

It was fun dressing up and we laughed a lot.

We still did lots of learning. It was like going to a sleep-over with our friends.

Some of us had animal Onesies and some had dressing-gowns to wear. We got hot.

Ihaia was presented with a HOM Certificate at assembly. Well done Ihaia.

When we are cosy in PJs it is fun to snuggle with a good book.

We enjoyed wearing different clothes to school.

Maddison got her cast off and this is what it looked like. The hospital used a saw to cut it off.

Manaia loves to use our lego. She made a big machine.
Liam used some construction and showed everyone what he made.

We love to practise our spelling using the whiteboards. We challenge one another.
We are learning to use our classroom Ipads and laptops. We are sharing ideas from one another to get better at using them.
We had a visit from Mr Mac for Duffy Assembly. He shared with us his experiences and told us how he wrote the "Doug the Digger" stories.

We have our lovely new Duffy Books to read and share with one another. It is fun to have new books.

Welcome

Welcome to Tip Top Ten Carlton Blog site.

We also have a Maori name for our class - He Puna Whanake.
We are in Room 10 and would love to share what we have been doing.
Check in with us each week and add a comment if you like what you see.
